一個談話節目「WTO姐妹會」，
在討論到底哪個國家的人最有公德心和最沒有公德心。
有一個來賓鄭凱中(馬來西亞籍)邊紅著眼睛邊告訴大家：「前一陣子，我去泰國做了一星期的義工(照顧大象)，我想告訴大家：
去泰國玩，如果看到路邊有小象寶寶(或大象)用鼻子捲著籃子要賣你東西，千萬別買！
你們知道嗎？
這些小象根本不知道牠自己到底站在哪哩，人類為了好控制牠們，把牠們的眼睛都被刺瞎了！
如果大家買了牠們賣的東西，就會又發生小象被抓來賣東西的事情，等這些瞎眼的小象長大了，不能利用了，就把牠們丟掉。
還有，也不要去騎大象！你們知道嗎？為什麼那些大象會那麼聽話呢？
那是有原因的----
那些人把大象關在一點也不能動的窄籠子裡面，因為象的皮膚太厚，刺不進去；所以就把針刺滿大象眼睛和指甲的四周圍，任憑大象在籠子裡痛苦的嚎叫一個星期，再把牠們放出來，從此以後，大象就再也不敢不聽話了！
還有，你們以為騎再大象背上很酷；其實，母象懷孕要兩年才會生出小象，騎大象的人根本看不出來到底自己騎的大象到底懷孕多久了。
這些母象每天要載著觀光客起碼走個二、三十圈，很可憐，最後就胎死腹中了！
鄭凱中認為泰國人最沒有公德心，因為他們沒有好好對待替他們工作的象；主持人(曹蘭)和每個來賓，無論國際是德國、日本、巴布亞、韓國、泰國、馬來西亞、臺灣、巴拉圭、中國大陸，個個都邊聽邊擦眼淚。

And when people see him standing there, very cute, but people don’t even know that these baby elephants are blind.
And when they grew bigger and bigger, they could not be used any more, then they were just abandoned, could not live on themselves and died.
And why elephants are so obedient? And do you know how people trained them?
Because elephant skin is too thick to pierce into, so they were put into a small cage that they could not move, then using needles to pierce around their eyes and their nails, made them wailed with suffering for a whole week and there was nothing to eat, to drink and even could not sit down. After that they were released, then they did not dare to react against his owner because of scaring.
And you think that it is very cool to ride on an elephant, but in fact, the female elephants are pregnant for 2 years before the baby is born, and when people happen riding on a pregnant elephant, they even do not know for how long she is pregnant. And she has to carry tourists at least 20 or 30 rounds a day, so at the end, the unborn baby was died in her mother’s womb.
